Frontline Mama

Five years ago, my trust for public schools was completely broken. It was like biting into a hot pepper-the sting of betrayal left me angry and the spice lit a fire in me. Suddenly, I was ready to battle.

Over what you ask? Social Emotional Learning (SEL), but not the public-facing “respect, empathy, kindness, responsibility” facade that is advertised. I’m talking about the sneaky, LGBTQ+, DEI, exclude parents, agenda-driven nonsense kind of SEL.

After getting more involved, I learned that the communication I received about the school teaching my child how to be respectful of those around them, the school actually planned to implement lessons that not only taught about LGBTQ+ agenda items, but also gave a call to action to elementary-aged students, asking them to stand up and use their voices to support these initiatives. Parents were duped.

Press repeat and apply to sex education, but add normalizing of teen sex, transgender everything, sexual autonomy, and wrap all the parent exclusion in statements of ‘rights and autonomy’—for children. I could go on and on.

I’ve been on quite a journey of self-discovery, learning how to advocate for my children, how to stand up for what my family believes in, and also how to take a verbal punch that sounds like “You’re a hateful bigot” in front of a lot of people.

I’ve also been uncovering a lot of information through my dedicated research since all of this has happened. I hold all of that information in my head and while I’ve had the privilege of sharing that information with personal connections or small groups and platforms, I have a deep desire to offer what I learn to as many parents as I can. Enter: Frontline Mama— your trusted space to discover and discuss the various things and efforts that are harming our children. My goal is to share information, offer ideas and resources for protection, and encourage parents to fight the good fight.
